My Currently Reading list has three other books in it that I have no motivation to finish.
I'm going back to a classic that hopefully helps break the reader's block I've been having for the past month, at a friend's suggestion. A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas (SJM) is a comfort book for many people. Personally, I'm drawn more to A Court of Mist and Fury but sometimes, you want to start the magic from the beginning.
I'll write a review, but note that I'm not going to gush about this book (too much) during my review. I'll take better notes on characters - SJM always has the perfect amount of pages to get all the characters to tell you what you want to hear, and then turn it on its head by the second book. I can't wait until I read it again.
The last book I read and reviewed didn't strike me as one that needed a series review.
My future plans are definitely going to include the Crescent City series by SJM and her Throne of Glass series. However, those are both extremely long in their own respects. One has 8 million characters and events and another one has 10 million characters and events. I'll take breaks reading the short, unremarkable Kindle Unlimited books that I have access to - sometimes you find some gems, like Radiance by Grace Draven or Wintersong by S. Jae-Jones.
Keep an eye out.
